PROJECT NAME:  BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS FOR CITY HALL

LOCATION OF PROJECT:  One S. Central Avenue, Umatilla, FL  32784

SCOPE OF WORK:  The project involves Re-Roof and Façade Improvements to Umatilla City Hall and Community Center.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and work detailed within the Project Manual and Construction Plans for the Re-Roof and Façade Improvements for the Umatilla City Hall and Community Center.  

MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE:    A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held in the Umatilla Community Center, 1 S. Central Ave., Umatilla, FL  32784, on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at 2:00 p.m.  Prospective bidders will be able to perform a roof inspection after the meeting.  All bidders must be in attendance in order to submit a bid.

RECEIPT OF BIDS:  Bids for the work described in the Bid Packet shall be submitted in triplicate and received no later than Thursday, October 3, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. in a sealed envelope addressed “SEALED BID, Project 2013-4, Building Improvements for Umatilla City Hall, City of Umatilla, 1 S. Central Ave., Umatilla, FL  32784”.  Bids will be opened immediately thereafter and read aloud.  All bids, whether hand delivered or mailed must be delivered to the office of the City Manager before the above stated deadline to be considered.  Bids received after the deadline or which are faxed or electronically submitted will NOT be considered.  

INFORMATION REGARDING BIDDING MATERIAL:  The information for Bidders, Forms of Proposal, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the office of Umatilla City Hall, located at 1 S. Central Avenue, Umatilla, FL  32784.  Bidding materials and plans may be obtained upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $50.00 from CPH Engineers, 500 West Fulton Street, Sanford, FL 32771; phone number (407)322-6841.

The contractor shall begin mobilization and procurement of materials within ten working days of the receipt of the notice to proceed.

Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract and all applicable laws and regulations of State of Florida, and bonding and insurance requirements.

Each Bidder must deposit with his/her security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. ~Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable according to the Department of Treasury Circular 570.
