Advertisement for bids for Project 2014-4 CITY OF UMATILLA MAIN WATER PLANT IMPROVEMENTS.
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Umatilla at the office of the City Manager at City Hall at 1 South Central Avenue, Post Office Box 2286, Umatilla, Florida 32784-2286 until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 9th, 2014, for the above noted project.
MAIN WATER PLANT IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT SHALL INCLUDE CONSTRUCTION OF 150,000 GALLON GROUND STORAGE TANK WITH 1300 GPM CASCADE AERATOR, REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING HIGH SERVICE PUMPS, REPLACEMENT OF ASSOCIATED YARD PIPING, REMOVAL OF EXISTING ELEVATED STORAGE TANK FROM SERVICE (tank to remain), UPGRADE EXISTING CHLORINATION (DISINFECTION) SYSTEM.
Proposals shall be addressed to the City Manager, City of Umatilla, 1 South Central Avenue, Umatilla, Florida 32784. All proposals must be received by City of Umatilla prior to the bid deadline date and time to be considered.
Bids will be opened at that time, then forwarded to the Project Engineer for review and recommendation.
The contract documents and drawings and specifications can be examined at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall at the above address.

Since the procurement of plans, specifications, and related documents is considered a purchase, there will be no refund made.
A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. , Wednesday, November 5th, 2014, at the Main Water Plant, located at 1025 Bulldog Way, in Umatilla. It is required that all prospective bidders attend.
The City reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to reject any and all Bids with or without cause, and to accept the bid that in its best judgment will be for the best interest of the City.
