PROJECT NAME: CITY OF UMATILLA ORANGE AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS

LOCATION OF PROJECT: The project is located within the City Limits of Umatilla, Florida; Orange Avenue from Collins Street to East Lake Street, including East Lake Street from Orange Avenue to Trowell Avenue.
SCOPE OF WORK: The project involves installing a stormwater management collection system along Orange Avenue and East Lake Street, including curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm inlets, storm pipe, stormwater retention area, installing water mains, gravity sewer lines, gravity sewer manholes, forcemain, and all pavement markings and signage. Work to include reconstruction of existing Orange Avenue and East Lake Streets to accommodate stormwater and utility improvements. Engineers construction cost estimate for the Project is $1,500,000.00.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment, necessary to provide the work detailed within the Construction Plans for the City of Umatilla Orange Avenue Improvements Project. It is mandatory that all Bidders provide units and unit costs for each of the line items provided in the Schedule of Unit Prices and shown in the Construction Plans.
MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the City of Umatilla,1 S. Central Avenue, Umatilla, Florida 32784, on April 20th at 10:00 a.m. All bidders must be in attendance in order to submit a bid.
RECEIPT OF BIDS:~ Sealed bids marked “Project 2015-2 Orange Avenue Improvements”, for the work described herein shall be received until 10:00 a.m. May 26th at City of Umatilla, 1 S. Central Avenue, Umatilla, Florida, 32784. Bids WILL be opened and read aloud.~ ALL BIDS WHETHER HAND DELIVERED OR MAILED MUST BE AT THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, CITY OF UMATILLA CITY HALL BEFORE THE ABOVE STATED DEADLINE TO BE CONSIDERED. PLEASE PROVIDE TWO (2) COPIES OF BID (ORIGINAL AND ONE COPY). ELECTRONIC OR FACSIMILE SUBMITTALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

These plans and specifications will be available on April 14th. There is a non-refundable fee for the plans and specifications.
CITY COUNCIL MEETING: Selection of work and contractor will be considered at CITY COUNCIL Meeting to be held on June 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at City of Umatilla City Hall.
The City reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to reject any and all Bids or portions of Bids, with or without cause, and to accept the bid that in its best judgment will be for the best interest of the City.
