LOCATION OF PROJECT:~ The project is located within the City Limits of Umatilla, generally located in the downtown area of the City, east and west of SR 19.
SCOPE OF WORK:~ The project involves the rehabilitation work of the existing City of Umatilla sanitary sewer system. Work to include the rehabbing of existing deteriorated clay sanitary sewer pipe and rehabbing of existing compromised sanitary sewer manholes.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:~ The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment, necessary to provide the work detailed within the Construction Plans for the City of Umatilla Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation Project. All bidders must provide bids on the following: Group I PVC Slip Lining of existing sanitary sewer pipe, Group II RICIP lining of existing sanitary sewer pipe, and Group III rehabbing of existing sanitary sewer manholes. Bidders are instructed to provide unit costs for each of the Groups identified above and provided in the Detail Specifications and Construction Plans. The City of Umatilla will not decide as to what portions of the project will be constructed until bids have been reviewed and pricing compared to available funding. The City reserves the right to select
different contractors for individual components.
MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE:~ A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the City of Umatilla,1 S. Central Avenue, Umatilla, Florida 32784, on 1/21/2014 at 11:00 a.m. All bidders must be in attendance in order to submit a bid.
RECEIPT OF BIDS:~ Sealed bids for the work described herein shall be received until 10:00 a.m. 2/20/2014 at City of Umatilla, 1 S. Central Avenue, Umatilla, Florida, 32784. Bids WILL be opened and read aloud.~ ALL BIDS WHETHER HAND DELIVERED OR MAILED MUST BE AT THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, CITY OF UMATILLA CITY HALL BEFORE THE ABOVE STATED DEADLINE TO BE CONSIDERED. PLEASE PROVIDE TWO (2) COPIES OF BID (ORIGINAL AND ONE COPY).
INFORMATION REGARDING BIDDING MATERIAL, ETC:
Complete plans and specifications may be reviewed at the office of BOOTH, ERN, STRAUGHAN, & HIOTT, INC., 350 North Sinclair Avenue, Tavares, Florida, 32778, and obtained electronically for a non-refundable $10.00 fee.~ These plans and specifications will be available on 1/13/2014. ~
CITY COUNCIL MEETING: Selection of work and contractor will be considered at CITY COUNCIL Meeting to be held on 3/4/2014 at City of Umatilla City Hall.~
The City reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to reject any and all Bids or portions of Bids, with or without cause, and to accept the bid that in its best judgment will be for the best interest of the City.
